Heard last night that Jimmy Carl Black had died and just wanted to add a little memory of him to the web. I originally posted this in July 2006 but it didn't get transferred over when I moved my blog earlier this year, so I thought I'd re-post it:

My gigs with the Jimmy Carl Black band are over now - the regular keyboard player is back and is taking over for the rest of the tour. We did The Cluny in Newcastle (good food & beer, separate room for gigs with a decent PA) and The Stables in Milton Keynes, a great purpose built live music venue with a top notch PA and crew - the kind of gig where the audience sit and listen and applaud solos. Jimmy was fun - (best quote "Fuck this kit man. It's shit man."). Good luck for the rest of the tour guys!
