Surely it's going to be one of the must have items for a British F1 fan this year, but it's not yet available. I'm talking about a Brawn GP cap or t-shirt. They've been pretty busy sorting out other things I guess! I got a reply from Grand Prix Legends on Twitter saying that there is nothing yet and it may take a while for stock to arrive when it is released. Other sites that sell F1 merchandise, such as Kitbag (who supply the official F1 Store on formula1.com), GT Models & On Pole all seem to be in the same situation - waiting for a truck load of Brawn GP gear to turn up.
Until that truck does turn up you could always do it the homemade way:
- Get yourself a cheap white t-shirt and baseball cap.
- Pop along to the Brawn GP website
- Print off their chunky logo twice onto some white paper.
- Carefully cut out the logos.
- Laminate the logos if you want to go out in the rain (optional).
- Stick the logos to your t-shirt and cap with sellotape, sticky-back plastic, or, in true Jenson style, with British grit and a blind faith that it will just stick.
- You can now walk out with your head held high and amaze your friends with your "Oh yeah, I know Ross, he's an old mate. It's a freebie." line.
So keep an eye out, the official merchandise will turn up sooner rather than later hopefully. Now, a Jenson cap or a Rubens one, hmmm..
